School governance

School governance makes or breaks schools.

With more than 20 years of experience working with the school boards of successful schools as a principal, Vicki nominates good school governance as the most essential component of a successful school.

“There’s a huge chasm between the consequences of good and poor governance.”

— Vicki Waters, managing director EducateCo

With her experience, Vicki admits she’s probably seen it all in relation to board performance—good and bad.

In addition to her school principal experience, Vicki has years of experience serving on the boards of several major Australian universities and held executive positions on many other professional education organisations.

She is also a long-standing graduate of the Australian Institute of Company Directors.

To help schools obtain the best-possible service from their boards, Vicki has partnered with her legal and HR team to produce her schools governance support service.
